Guangzhou, the glittering pearl of Lingnan culture, plays a pivotal role in the realms of ecological conservation and sustainable development with its profound Buddhist tradition and numerous ancient monasteries. This article starts from these monasteries to show how the wisdom of Chinese Buddhism is being integrated with modern environmental protection.
