I remember that
special winter’s evening,
In which rain
silently fell from the sky.
We entered the
hospital chambers
With icy hands
gripping a bouquet
At a gentle knock,
we peeped inside
The room hummed
with a heavy silence
…as if
intentionally highlighting a sound
In the air floated
a beautiful calling whisper
Calling the name
of a father so desperately missed
She
whispered that divine name
To leave a
lingering echo within our hearts
Nam… mô… A… Di…
Đà… Phật
The name echoes in
the depths of her soul
We see the
leavings of impermanence
As time printed
lines on her face
It had dried out her once colourful youth…
Remember when… in
distant memories
A baby girl
inhaled her first breath
Now the last gulp
of air returns to the clouds
Remember when… not
so long ago
The first drops of
milk were swallowed,
Today, a decaying
body returns to the ashes
Remember those
moments lost in fades years…
When tears of joy
fell to the ground at a baby’s first steps
Today… with both
eyes closed, she walks no more.
Now at her
bedside, tears are being born from eyes
They are added
into the vastness Saha oceans…
To leave yet
another scar in our hearts
Oh! Let the Saha
oceans of tears be dried
Let the tears be
swallowed as they bitterly die on your lips,
Let the winter
rain blow away so that you cry no more
May the evening
sunset’s glow, reach her
May it guide her
journey to the west
We silently pray
and hope, that one day a smile shall be born from our faces
As we received
news of our dear friend’s new address
Look to the
western destination
Know that this is
not a final goodbye,
Remember our
future reunion
See you soon dear
friend,
Resting on a lotus
throne.
