Kính Thưa quý vị quan khách cùng toàn thể quý đồng hương Phật tử hiện diện
trong buổi lễ An vị Phật, Khánh thành tượng Đài Quan Âm Lộ Thiên và Cổng
Tam Quan hôm nay.
Thưa quý liệt vị,
Hôm
nay cùng lúc Cộng Đồng PTVN tại Nam Úc mừng ba Phật sự vừa thành tựu viên
mãn. Đó là tôn tượng đức Bổn sư, tượng Bồ Tát Quán Thế Âm và cổng Tam Quan
chùa Pháp Hoa. Điều đó chứng tỏ tâm nguyện của người con Phật chí thành
nên đạt được sự thành tựu thời gian ngắn chỉ trong vòng một năm.
Tâm
nguyện phát xuất tự đáy lòng chân thật mà đạt được kết quả như ý, và có
một giá trị nhứt định làm tiêu tan mọi tỵ hiềm đố kỵ trong đời sống chúng
ta. Tâm nguyện mang chất liệu từ bi, vị tha có một mãnh lực vô hình với
tính thuyết phục, cảm hóa được những tâm niệm xấu ác.
Như
chúng ta đều biết, ngôi chùa Pháp hoa này đã một lần khánh thành gần 20
năm về trước, do lòng thành của nhiều người kết hợp tạo nên mà ngôi chùa
được xây lên như một biểu tượng tinh thần của người Phật tử. Nhưng do cộng
nghiệp nên một biến cố đau lòng xảy ra cho chùa vào tháng sáu năm 2003 làm
cho nhiều Phật tử hoang mang sửng sốt. Rồi cơn sốt cũng lặng lẽ qua đi,
người Phật tử biết khắc phục tự chế bằng mọi giá với tâm nguyện tái tạo
lại những gì đã hư hao, đỗ nát. Nhìn vào thực tế cảnh quang chùa Pháp Hoa
hôm nay chứng minh cho thấy tâm nguyện nhằm mục đích để:
-hướng
những tâm niệm xấu ác quay về với lương tâm, lẽ phải.
-hoán
chuyển những bất hạnh thành an lành đi vào đời sống.
-luôn
luôn tha thứ và cầu nguyện cho mọi dị biệt chánh kiến, mọi chúng sanh.
-thực
hiện một công trình to lớn cần sự nỗ lực góp sức của nhiều người.
-hoàn
thành một dự án v.v…
Tất
cả do lòng chân thành (tâm nguyện) mà đạt được. Vậy thì, chúng ta nên
lấy đó làm bài học xử thế đích thực để hoàn thiện bản thân, xây dựng xã
hội, con người nói chung đạt được Chân-Thiện-Mỹ.
Xin
thay mặt HĐĐH Giáo Hội bày tỏ lòng thán phục sức nhẫn nại kiên trì của HT
Thích Như Huệ, Tăng Ni và Phật tử chùa Pháp Hoa trong nhiều năm qua và
nhất là trong vòng một năm nay mà quý vị đã được long thiên hộ pháp và Tam
Bảo gia hộ, nên mọi mặt đều được đổi mới hoàn chỉnh từ nhân sự đến pháp sự
để tạo được một khung cảnh tươi sáng như thế này. Giáo Hội mong rằng những
thành viên Tăng Ni là những cán bộ trung kiên của Phật Giáo và các cơ sở
thành viên là đạo tràng hoằng pháp hữu hiệu mà ngôi Pháp Hoa tự là một
trong những trung tâm tu học thực tế đem lại an bình và lợi lạc cho xã hội
nói chung.
Kính chúc quý quan khách, quý vị đại diện các hội đoàn và đoàn thể được
nhiều an lành và thành tựu như sở nguyện.
Trân trọng cảm ơn quý liệt vị đã chú ý theo dõi lời phát biểu trên đây của
chúng tôi và cuối cùng xin kính chào toàn thể quí vị.

Australia and New Zealand at the Ceremonies for the re-dedication of the
Phap Hoa Temple and the dedication of the Avalokitesvara Statue and the
Triple Gate on Sunday 27th June 2004.

Rann, Premier of South Australia,
- Honoured guests and
fellow Vietnamese Buddhists here to witness the Ceremonies for the
re-dedication of the Php Hoa Temple and the dedication of the
Avalokitesvara Statue and the Triple Gate.
Greetings
Today the Vietnamese
Buddhist Community in South Australia celebrate three Buddhist tasks that
have been successfully completed at the same time. These are the image of
the Founding Master, the Buddha, the statue of Avalokitesvara and the
Triple Gate of the Php Hoa Temple. This achievement demonstrates the
sincerity of the pledge by the followers of the Buddha to bring these
works to a successful completion within the short space of only one year.
Their pledge, coming from
sincere hearts, has produced the results that they hoped and has a
positive value which turned all suspicion and jealousy in our lives to
nothing. Their pledge had the quality of loving kindness, of alturism
which has an invisible force that overcomes animosity and rancour.
As we all know the Php
Hoa Temple was dedicated once before nearly 20 years ago as the result of
the fervour of many people who came together to create a temple built as a
symbol of the spirit of Buddhist devotees. However, due to collective
karma, a heart rending catastrophe occurred at the Temple in June 2003
which left many Buddhists bewildered and confused. Then, as the shock
slowly passed, the Buddhist devotees knew that they had to regain their
self control at all cost by pledging to recreate what had been damaged or
destroyed. Looking around the scene here at the Php Hoa Temple today we
see that their pledge was aimed at:
- turning the negativity
of rancour back into moral virtue, a positive,
- transforming misfortune
into a source of peace in life,
- forgiving always and
praying for the resolution of all differences in view and being,
- effecting a large scale
task requiring the contributory effort of many people,
- bringing to completion
some project, etc...
All has been achieved
through an open-hearted spirit. Therefore we should take this as a real
lesson in dealing with people for the perfection of the individual, the
building and strengthening of society, so that people in general can
achieve truth, virtue and beauty.
On behalf of the
Executive Council of the Congregation, let me express our praise and
admiration of the power of persistence and forbearance of Mahathera Thich
Nhu Hue and the Sangha and Buddhists of the Phap Hoa Temple, who, for many
years and particularly over the past year under the protection of the
gods, the Guardian of the Dharma and the Three Jewels, have been
revitalised in all aspects from the personal to the religious to create
such a scene as this. The Congregation has the hope that its Sangha
members be loyal and steadfast cadres for Buddhism, and that its
institutional members are effective places of religious propagation. The
Phap Hoa Temple is one of the true centres of religious instruction that
brings peace and benefit to society in general.
I wish all honoured
guests and the representatives of other organisations and associations
peace and tranquility, and success.
